OnePlus N6 Launched in India— 8000mAh Battery, 3 Days of Life, Under ₹23,000

OnePlus has launched a brand new phone in India today. It's called the OnePlus N6, and it's not part of the Nord family. This is something new — a completely new series called the N Series. The launch happened on June 30, 2026, and the phone goes on sale on July 4.

For years, OnePlus used to sell budget phones under the Nord CE Lite name. The Nord CE 2 Lite, CE 3 Lite, CE 4 Lite — all of them came at ₹19,999. Now OnePlus has stopped that and started fresh with the N Series. The N6 is the first phone in this new lineup.

Display

The OnePlus N6 has a 6.75-inch display. It's an LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The 120Hz makes scrolling and animations look smooth. It's not an AMOLED screen, so if you compare it side by side with phones like the Realme P4R, the colours won't look as vivid. But for watching YouTube, browsing Instagram, or just daily use, it works perfectly fine.

The Processor

Inside the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chip. This is a mid-range processor, and OnePlus says it scores over 6,15,800 on AnTuTu. You also get either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, depending on which variant you pick. Both variants come with 128GB of storage.

This chip won't handle heavy gaming like BGMI on ultra settings, but for everything else — apps, multitasking, social media, video streaming — it runs smooth. OnePlus also added a big 5,300mm² vapor chamber for cooling, which helps keep the phone from heating up during longer use.

The phone runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. OnePlus is promising 60 months of smooth performance, two big Android updates, and three years of security patches.

The Battery — The Biggest Highlight

Okay, this is the main reason people will be talking about the OnePlus N6. The phone has an 8,000mAh battery. That is huge. OnePlus claims this is the largest battery in the ₹15,000–₹20,000 segment right now.

They say you can get up to three days of use on a single charge. Even if real-world usage gives you two full days, that's still really impressive. OnePlus also says the battery will hold more than 80% of its original capacity even after seven years of regular charging. That's actually a big deal if you plan to use this phone for a long time.

Charging is 45W SuperVOOC, so filling it up won't take forever. There's also bypass charging and 5W reverse wired charging  so you can charge other devices using this phone too.

The Cameras

At the back, you get a 50MP main camera and a 2MP secondary lens. The front camera is 8MP. For video, the main camera can shoot 1080p at 60fps. There's also 720p slow-motion at 120fps.

The cameras are not the strongest part of this phone. But for everyday photos, WhatsApp, and social media posts, they'll do the job. OnePlus has added AI camera features like AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Ultra Clarity, and Dual View Video. Google Gemini is also built in for productivity.

Build Quality and Other Features

The OnePlus N6 has a clean flat-edge design with a squarish camera module at the back. It comes in two colours Fresh Mint and Midnight Black. The build is solid. It's IP65 rated, meaning it can handle dust and water splashes. It also passed MIL-STD-810H testing, so it can take some bumps and drops better than average phones.

You get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security. For connectivity, the phone covers 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB Type-C with OTG support, and great news  a 3.5mm headphone jack is included.
